FAQ

Now here is a fantastic FAQ module to take your site to the next level.

You will have to work hard to bring traffic to your site and gain increased membership. You will want to keep those members. Once they start using your site, they will definitely have a lot of HOW TO questions. It is important that they get the "how-to" information quickly otherwise they get annoyed and leave.

This allows you to provide readily available answers to common questions your members might have.

Module-Specific FAQ - When posting a FAQ entry, it is possible to link it to a particular module. A FAQ menu link is automatically inserted into the main menu of any module that has one or more associated FAQ entries.

Related FAQ - FAQ view page has a Related block that shows other FAQ for the same module or category.

In addition to Category browsing, it is possible to browse all FAQ related to a particular module.

Sticky Feature added so you can make certain FAQs Sticky. These FAQs will always show at the top of the listings.

          I recently purchased and downloaded this module for my 14.0.0-RC2 installation. It is certainly an improvement. I have been using a single page list for my FAQs. I believe my members will enjoy the multi-topic directory included in this. It is also beneficial to have access to specific topics on the main pages for things like Discussions, People, and Groups. I also like that it comes with a Search page. The main thing I had a problem with in this module was the default choice in the main page blocks of the gallery style presentation of each Q&A. In fact, the character limits for summaries listed on the Settings page do not work with the gallery presentation that comes built into this module. I went into the Code option of the blocks and changed the array presentation to text-only as seen in this code snippet:

          This FAQs module is flexible in that it allows you to add any topic category you want that is not directly linked to another module. Instead of going to the Studio page to start a new FAQ, I added a create button in the sub-menu for the + button at the top. Overall, I would recommend other admins purchase this module for their sites. Thank you, Jerome!
