Comment to 'What is your favorite UNA feature?'
  • That sounds great, Andrey, but at the same time it scares me a little bit. I fear, that those fundamental enhancements you listed, could cause fundamental changes to our working systems, especially when self-hosted.

    • Here's a few base "values" we have with UNA, to make it clear:

      1. UNA is for independent networks. You should not be locked in to a service, hosting, agreement or subscription. You should be able to use UNA in your own infrastructure, own the data and license the code without limitation.
      2. Any services we offer are for convenience, efficiency or customisation. You can sign up for automated updates of Pro apps, get tailored development and soon - automated deployment and monitoring. It's all complimentary to your independent system.
      3. Data and success is yours. We don't control or own your data and we don't limit your right to sell, pivot, rebrand your network in any way.
      4. 100% Open-source. Whatever we build, we open-source. We can run it for you, we can help you run it or you can run it yourself.
      5. UNA CMS is at the core of business logic. UNA is the MVC framework, handling your data structure, business logic and UI (either via API or with included GUI). UNA is and always will be at the core of what we offer. The new UI Apps and the deployment/management services all ultimately connect to UNA.
