BUG: Image drag on Android

You can change it, upload, etc. But you can't drag it. So if its a big picture, you can't slide it to where you need it to display properly.

Watch attached screen record. Touch view enabled. Can not drag the image, and this is consistent across all my test browsers.

Again, developing for PC in an age where 90% of people use mobiles. I code/work primarily from a tablet. It keeps my design and my code mobile friendly. This needs fixed. I am hoping UNA will fix for 14.0.2A4.

Also, X delete button doesn't work on mobile.

@Anton L or @Alex T⚜️ can we get a gihub issue and assignment for this bug please, it is very important for mobile use, members should be able to place the images in mobile.

Groups, channels, events, profile page covers do NOT work except for upload on Android mobile. You can not drag them to make them look right, you can not use the remove button (it does nothing), and is across all android browsers, and my test versions (7.1.2, 8.1, 12). Multiple browsers.

This needs to be fixed for mobile asap. It is nearly first interaction with our sites, and when things don't work, it is a loss in retention.

Please look into this, and please fix it. Thank you.

I hate bringing up old topics that have responses, however, it appears this issue for mobile has been around for years.

My testers are getting frustrated when they try to add a cover a group or profile and most of it is clipped because they can't move it, the delete button doesn't work (on mobile at least) and they give up being frustrated.

On a live site, this will translate to a lost retention.

All these bugs need fixed. It should be a priority.

So B2 was now released and this bug still is not fixed.

This is very upsetting. Usability bugs cause users to go elsewhere. This should have been fixed since it is used in every aspect of UNA, from persons header to groups, spaces, content headers.

Failing to fix this before another release is ridiculous.

I am going to keep this topic alive, because I keep getting asked how they fix their headers. 90% of people use mobile access to a site, and this is used in every aspect of UNA.

This needs fixed. Please figure a fix, this is a core issue and I'm not going to start making changes.

@Andrey Yasko this is not a issue that should be just pushed aside. Every aspect of UNA uses headers. And NO mobiles can adjust them. 90% of members will be mobile.

That makes this a big issue.

@Alex T⚜️ nothing has been done on the github issue. Is the person you assigned even working on una?

I have to explain this is a bug to all new users. This is a una core issue, and has been a bug for many many versions of UNA.

I'm going to add to this. This NEEDS to be a priority. We finally launched our site on August 10. (two days ago). And I have ALREADY gotten e-mail complaints about this bug. This is making my new site and my new business look bad. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE fix this. And, unlike what the subject of this post says... it's not just Android. It is iOS too.

We figured any touch devices. Including iPads, tablets, etc. The covers have been over looked for a long time. And I can't understand why this actually isn't a priority... Covers are part of every aspect of UNA, and on mobile, they are useless. 90% of users are mobile. Seems like it should be a priority fix.

The issue is now marked closed, with fixes that have bugs. I will provide the changes necessary for it to work across all touch devices.

In the github fix, BxDolUploader.js line 1113 is

if (window.innerWidth <= 800){

This is a horrible way to turn on touch events. It fails on my tablet, and any of my phones in landscape. It should be:

if (('ontouchstart' in window) || (navigator.msMaxTouchPoints > 0)) {

This will enable it on ANY modern touch device.

BUG:

When saving the position. The overflow is not reset, so after save the page is left immoveable. You need to add line 1145:

BxDolImageTweak.prototype.savePosition = function (){
  var $this = this;
  $('body').css('overflow', '')

So scroll is reactivated.

Line 1148 needs unbind added:

$(".bx-image-edit-source-" + $this._sUniqueId).addClass('bx-image-edit-move').unbind('dragover').unbind('touchmove');
