Understood. On my humhub site it is a module just install with one click and nothing to configure.  That is ideal in my opinion.  Should not be difficult but it is beyond my capabilities.

Molosser Dogs is there a floater on the side that if clicked on, it shows a list of members?

Freichat  is nice

Is this a hosted chat or can one download and install it on their own server?  Hosted chats have their place, such in shared hosting, but it is also nice to not have yet another third party vendor handling things; UNA already has way too many third party vendor code; in my opinion of course.

I think the info from the OP was about HumHub; I downloaded the free version and it appears to be a solution you can install and run from your own server; no third party needed.

Appears rather simple.  The free version does not have chat rooms but would be a test to see how easy to integrate into UNA.  If you like, I can install on your server some time this week if you would like to test FreiChat.

as you can see it is installed just working out a few more things thats needing done.

what do you think? is a solution possible? i tried also to install freichat, but at the step to fill the database dates it crashed

Someone07 yes i had this issue there is an error within one of the files a typo in the code that item just needs removing and it will work

as well as that i also plan on making it a service for people that would prefer that way also i'm looking into arrow-chat and other SAAS Software to better help the una community i wont stop looking.

I had contact with Freichat last quarter of 2019 when I had a failed installation trial stopped halfway.

They sent me a file that made the installation to progress to the end, however it's having some other issues to work.

So they promised to roll out a plugin for UNA in January.

I will try following them up. That should solve the challenge everyone is having.

We did try to create a plugin for UNA but their documentation is very scarce.

This is slowing down the process a lot. 

We might have to email them again for some examples that might help us get started.
