It was said that UNA would release a new scalable Jitsi server for UNA Cloud users who wanted to be able to customize Jitsi because Jitsi no longer is free. Also wanted to know if the new server would include UNA Cloud members to be able to use the Streaming Mod.

Will jitsi is still free to use for self hosting and we have been using it for a long time.
Please have a look here:

I am not self hosted. I am on UNA Cloud. Anyone on UNA Cloud has not been able to modify Jitsi and get rid of the watermark. We also have not been able to use the Streaming Mod. This means that people on UNA Cloud won't be able to use it for free while also not being able to modify it by getting rid of the watermark. I understand there is some self hosting options but not all of us have reliable internet or the skills to set up a server. There has also been no alternative UNA hosting sites that have Chanel access, Jitsi server capabilities, and Streaming server capabilities. That is why I am asking about the UNA Jitsi server that was announced. The constant redirect to self hosting isn't helping answer this question. I am not interested in self hosting. I just want my site to have the capabilities of using Jitsi Meet video chat, and the Streaming Mod without having third party watermarks or rely on third party programs.

Cem, do you freely use the full version of the software or are there limitations? When is it projected to be no longer "free"?
How much server ram is required? Say... for 25 participants? Yes, I realize that there are many other usage variables in play.

Jitsi will no longer be free for anyone on UNA Cloud. That is why us on UNA Cloud are patiently waiting for more details about this Jitsi server upgrade including pricing, plans, etc. It wouldn't be feasible to pay for another month on UNA Cloud and then be forced to go looking for another Host and pay more money to transfer to another host. I've tried to be patient hence why I only keep asking maybe one every couple weeks but it's "We're still working on it" or radio silence. Same for any question asking if this server will include access to the Streaming Mod.

I just paid MSolutions to install a jitsi server on our dedicated server. They haven't done the work yet, but I'll keep you posted on how jitsi works on a dedicated server.

Hi @banister ,
Yes we are using it for 3-4 years.
There is no news that it the free version will be ended on jitsi side.
Thinking about a videoconference system's unpredictable enourmous resource needs, for UNA cloud I guess that it will be as a paid service and will go through custom installations for each client.
Even many companies who are sensitive about privacy are using Jitsi self hosted version.
RAM is not a big problem for this, but CPU power, for 100 participants a server with:
- 32 GB RAM
- 12 reserved vCPU
will be secure enough. The CPU need is going up with a logarithmic scale as participants increase.
Therefore with current technology even if you reserve 32vCPUs is it not possible to host more then 150-200 participants in a single installation. You will need clustering for more (also zoom google meet etc. doing the same). We were able to reach to 800-1000 participants with clustering.
For 25 participants a 4 vCPU 8 GB server will be enough. You may observe the CPU usage and increase vCPU numbers if needed.
Being carefull about closing the cameras and microphones while not neccessary will benefit a lot.
There are options to start the participant with cameras mics off etc.
installation is very easy if you have a little bit linux skills.
For clustering there are different options with cons and pros please have a look at my comments for previous posts:

Can you use Jitsi with the Streaming module of UNA? or at least members can use it individually to stream from their pages, or it is just for conferences like Zoom, webex, .etc?

Is there any sort of walkthrough on how to configure the Jitsi settings in the messenger app when you have your own server setup,
