500 error after auto update to una v13.0.0-A2.
I received email saying my self hosted una site had upgraded to v13.0.0-A2.
Now the site is showing 500 error?
I can still get to studio, where some apps work and some apps also throw 500 error.
How can I fix this?

Curious how you landed on an alpha build due to an automatic update. In your dev settings, did you have the release channel set to stable or beta?

This error usually means that the module you are using by default isn't updated to the latest version, or you are using 3rd-party template which isn't compatible with UNA 13 yet.

I have a site doing the same thing and there are no paid modules. I can’t do anything with the site. I can’t enter studio.

Has everyone cleared cache in Studio and browser? Also any custom work can cause the upgrade to show errors

Then it maybe that template you are using wasn't updated to the latest version.

Im using the default template. I tried to exclude possible causes in the file system. Meaning I disconnected templates, theme, plugins one by one but it didn't matter. The website is loading from the server but do not appear in any browser. There is nothing there!

When I upgraded to the first alpha I got a 500 error. I cleared browser cache and then studio cache. That did the trick. When I went to view profile pages I got a blank page. I figured out that it was a 3rd party app from MS Solutions. Disabled it and the page showed up. Upgraded to alpha 2 and bugs were fixed and site loads up. Would be nice to know how many sites that are still having the errors are on their own server vs UNA Cloud.

even i tried 13.0.1 and .2 both have error on installation
i tried 12 v it works fine

una ver 13. A1 and A2 have error i couldnt installed error 500
i went to V 12 and it work fine
my advice dont do any update to v 13 for now till the final version

I don't know if I'm right, but I think the problem is with many third party modules. This is now the 2nd major update that I am witnessing here. Una updated the platform and the modules. Almost all of the third party modules no longer work at the moment. With a running community, this is very fatal, you can't say we have a platform update here, but we have to remove the third party module because the programmer does not make his module available as an update until a month later.
Either you can really only fixate on UNA in-house modules or an agreement between UNA and the third party programmers has to be made about what will be changed on the platform so that they can adapt your modules at the same time.

It was problem with the license, it was registered to incorrect domain, I've fixed it and paid modules update went fine.

Luckily I have "stable" updates set in studio so I didn't get the 500 errors that many of you have been seeing but after that messenger update, messenger, shout box and parts on the site was screwed up for an hour or so then I had to clear the site cache and browser cache to get the site back on track. Also all site members need to clear their cache to use the site again.Some members ask me why things aren't working correctly and I can help them but unfortunately some don't ask or know how to clear their cache, don't ask for help and never came back. Things like this really suck for us trying to get a site going. It seems that every time things start picking up something else goes wrong.

I had to delete my test site and am starting over. I hated to do that but I could not get into Studio due to the 500 error.

I have 'Site is temporarily unavailable due to scheduled maintenance, please try again in a minute.' notice after updating to version 13 Alpha. We put back a backup with version 12 and all was working again. However, we need the 'Spaces' module, which is only available for version 13. So yesterday I updated version 12 to 13 again and now we get this error message again.
Can anyone provide any tips on how to solve this OR how to get an older version of a module, in this case 'Spaces'. I've searched in my account, but can't find any.

You should be able to install older version of Spaces modules from you UNA 12 Studio, we've just fixed this.
Regarding the update to UNA 13, please check logs/upgrade.log file for any errors, if it says that the latest update was applies successfully then you can manually delete .bx_maintenance file from your UNA root folder and your site should be updated, then go to Studio > Apps Market > Updates and apply all available updates for modules.

@Alex T⚜️ Thank you for the info. First step I took now is check the logs. In the upgrade.log everything seems fine (System after update custom script was successfully executed is the last line). In the upgrade_modules.log not so: 'Cannot get a list of modules which require to be updated.'.
I took your advice to manually remove .bx_maintenance, however, now the site is fully broken (Error 500). The cron-job has sent this: "PHP Fatal error: bx_import fatal error: class (BxTemplEditorQuill) wasn't found in /home/treffen_una/public_html/inc/utils.inc.php on line 778"

Go directly to the studio - it should work, then Apps Market > Updates and apply all updates for modules, after you update all modules your site should be back to normal.

Unfortunately, no page works. When I go to .../studio/ it automatically refers to .../studio/launcher.php and that address gives a HTTP error 500.

Any site link opens blank page, link above same. Upgrade-modules.log has multiple records "Cannot get a list of modules which require to be updated."
Tried to find how to clear site cash as was recommended by @Will Roberts, but could not. I dont want to start from scratch - my interest is to get it back working as it used few days ago.

Please login to your site Studio, then go to Studio > Apps Store > Purchases and make sure that all your purchased app are there (at this stage you maybe be asked to login to your una.io account), then go to Studio > Apps Store > Updates and apply all available updates.
If your Studio main page isn't working, then go directly to Apps Store app using link like this:

deleted maintenance bx file and go white page now. This was a fresh install, entered key and secret saved and went to dashboard where it had v13 update available and did an update when everything went bad.

It helps to install Developer on fresh install first and make sure it is in beta mode. Both updates a1 and a2 were successful

Yes, it is the known trouble from the 13A2 jump. So if you can't reach your Studio->Apps Market->Updates area then place the attached files in your modules\boonex\artificer\data\template\system\scripts\ folder. Instead of "protean" it could be your other template.
