Might have to take my site down
If UNA B-4 is not completed by the end of next month I may have to just take my site down. I can no longer afford to keep an unfinished site in limbo for another month. B-4 has many resolved bugs just sitting there while the same 10 have not been resolved in over a month. This is keeping B-4 from getting released. Many of those 10 are just enhancements...
Been quiet for awhile now patiently waiting but c'mon... The status hasn't dropped at all in over two months. I suggest releasing B-4 with the resolved bugs and pushing everything else into another stage. I can no longer keep paying for a site I cannot work on or get the Mods I already bought updated.

Very sorry for the delay. We really have to ensure that all the security recommendations we are receiving are duly implemented before updating - and we do have a lot to go through. This update will take UNA to whole new level in terms of general site security. Additionally, there some new significant improvements in feeds, privacy handling and a significant update of the native apps making them a lot faster. I understand that waiting is frustrating though and will make sure we do our utmost to release an update as soon as possible.

When (approximately) is that 'as soon as possible'? We definitely need an estimated release date.

I can appreciate the desire for a timely release of the next major update. Yet, I am glad to learn of these added security measures.
After your community grows, it will become a prize for hackers who can infect many others from a single place.
If your site becomes infected, you become the instrument of malware being distributed to others - which is sickening. Your hosting company can then deny you service. Your site may also have "unsafe warnings". And of course, you can lose your search engine ranking. Pretty heavy stuff.

Unfortunately I can no longer afford to keep my site running up in limbo. Unless B4 is released next week it makes no financial or logical sense to keep paying for a site that cannot progress. There still isn't any streaming options for people on UNA Cloud. I have a bunch of mods that need to be fixed but the devs are also waiting. UNA has a lot of potential but B4 fixes (85 of them) has been stuck for months now with like 7 unresolved issues that haven't budged. Security or not most sites are already running. Releasing the 80 or so fixed bugs would be crucial to keep most sites running, devs fixing and updating their mods; keeping the marketplace alive... I simply cannot understand why it's been the same 7-9 unresolved issues that have kept B4 from being released. I just cannot justify paying $100 a month to keep a defunct website in limbo for over a year. I can't even have streaming even though that app was released last year. Even after B4 I would have to still wait for the mod devs to fix their apps... That's easily another month or two if they're still around. I suggest releasing the 80 or so bugs packaged into B4 and push the remaining unresolved enhancements to a further date.

I am sorry to say, I too am thinking of moving on. It is a very costly wait and seeing no or even hearing of a release yet, has been very uninformational. I have a lot of investment in UNA for sure, but... I am starting to see a repetitive repeat of what was wrong with Dolphin. Its not the fact that UNA is a great script, but it is the fact that timely updates and changes take way to long, which a growing site, can not afford to gamble.
My Devs and I have been discussing a data/member move for members to one of our other sites. It will be cumbersome but possible. They figure about a week.
I have other devs with my 4 other sites, who have been working on and building sites for years, that get updates and changes done in just a matter of weeks to months. I am totally lost as well, to why this process has taken so long. Especially when you are using a script already written, your just adding and updating to an existing script. (Which my devs don't understand the delay either). I could see the long process if we were starting from rock bottom, (blank page). I am sure module writers are also questioning this long process.
There was word a week ago we would see a update released after testing.

I really feel sorry for you guys. We are in the same boat, same storm. It's very frustrating for all of us. I just do my best to not think too much about it. We're losing time and money.
I can't agree more. What has already been fixed in B4 should have been released by now to allow us to move on.
Well, I still believe that the @UNA Inc team is working hard to make that happen.
