It's the same thing I complained about. Posting content to a group/space/ etc via a visibility selector, is a very strange way of doing things. It is counter-intuitive, and confuses users, In fact, it is so strange, I've had to disable all types of content posting to 'Spaces'. because the average user can't figure it out. I'm left with using the Spaces module with nothing left but the Feed. The feed is the only thing that feels like part of a Space. Albums, Discussions, Events, Polls, and just about everything else feels disconnected from the Space it's supposed to be part of. Fortunately, posting to the Feed in spaces is adequate for my immediate needs. Posting Polls to spaces would be a feature I could use in the future, but it will have to get a lot more intuitive, Lance couldn't figure it out without asking, I couldn't figure it out without asking, and that's a huge problem. If people can't figure out how to post an album or a poll to a group/space without asking, that should be a bright red flag that something's wrong.
I'm curious to know whose idea it was to do it this way, and the thinking behind it. Help me understand.
Sorry if I'm hurting anyone's feelings here, but someone has to say these things
It's not without problems, but you can add that block in page builder.
Studio > Pages > Spaces
Select 'View Space' page, then select 'Add Blocks'
Select 'System' blocks, then look for the 'Create Post (context)' block and add it to the page.
That, of course will give you two methods of posting content to the page, which will undobtedly confuse some users, but it's a little better than the default. The 'Add New' really needs to be on the sub menu for each content type. I've griped about this before, so maybe something more intuitive is already planned. This platform has been around for a while now, and I'me really surprised this is just now a topic of discussion.
Stick around... I'll have everybody pissed off at me in no time. I've only been working with Una for three months, so I'm still learning what the pitfalls are. Weird methodology for posting content in modules is a big one though.
As webmasters, we have a built in patience and ambition for learning how our own sites work. The average user won't have that patience and ambition. If they can't figure it out immediately, they're gone. You'll see them register an account, then you'll never see them again. No one gets a second chance to make a first impression.
I hope everyone is taking notes about now. Your average user is looking for simplicity. His or her view of a site's usability is this: "Don't waste my time and make me wonder. Don't make me wonder what you possibly had in mind to make things so confusing."
Hello lance !
It is possible to do like described here https://una.io/page/view-discussion?id=4403

Think it would be better to have something like this. Don't think users would be able to find how to do it or at least an add button

I have been using it. not that bad once you know how to use it kinda got the idea.

There are also 2 variants to add the possibility to post directly on the view space page:
1) Add the system Create Post (Context) block to the view space page.
2) Use this solution https://una.io/page/cmts-view?sys=bx_forum&id=6743&cmt_id=30822 for Polls only.

Good day do you have the 1 option code like option 2 that can use in RAW block ill try to play with it to see something

I found away to add context to space
Timeline Space Discussions Events etc..
Go to Pages > Discussions (for example) > Discussions in context > Add New Block > Discussions >New discussion > Add To Page
looks like this but
Visibility now is the problem so users don't post it on the wrong page
