Reminders

This module allows you to create site - a graceful with any text of your own. Such a can not be missed by any targeted member of your site. The most obvious use case of this module is to gracefully force free members to become paid members. Or it can be used to promote something else, show any kind of advertisement, show a welcome messages, etc. It is possible to find a lot of ways to use for this module because it offers a lot of settings and options:

  • Allows to create multiple reminders
  • Each reminder is seen by a member every specified number of minutes, or once only, or once per session, or once per page load.
  • Allows to set up a delay after session start before showing a reminder.
  • Full multilingual support
  • Optionally allows to create a reminder which can not be closed till the specified number of seconds will pass. Can be useful for showing some kind of advertisement for non-paid members.
  • Allows to display a reminder at certain days of week only
  • Optionally allows to display a reminder on a certain page only
  • Offers targeting filter by Profile status and Membership level
  • AJAX based updates checking every minute for reminders to show, which means that even if a member is sitting constantly on a single page (chat for example) - he still will be able to see a reminder

    • That's one of the apps I use most about dolphin and I'm really happy to find it on Una. plus the ability to stream to unauthenticated members, so it's possible to get a message out to members who are signing up, that's great.
      It has as limit only the imagination, I use it to remind to the standard member that it is important to support us by passing premium member, I use it at the new year by diffusing a video with lights of fireworks, to say to people who have just registered to wait while we validate the profile, in fact I do not stop using it.
      Very very very useful, I recommend!

          Just a few suggestions to improve on the module to make it more robust:

          A delay until display in seconds - Which will allow x number of second to pass until the message displays.

          A option flag or counter on how many times to show the message. - Some message may only need to be shown once or once per day and not pop up every X number of minutes.  
          This option will allow specific warnings, notices to be placed in locations on the site. eg a group url for eg. to be able to notify a group. etc. of something.

          • It looks to be very useful and works great but I agree with Media R3ALM "Some message may only need to be shown once or once per day and not pop up every X number of minutes". I was already looking for this option, "Show Reminders X number of times".    

            •  Hi AQB Soft is it possible to update this app to enable us to only show an add once on login or x minutes after login. I want the lightbox to show up immediately when they login but not every 0 seconds. It makes my site unusable.

                    I have installed this and tried to use it with Posts and it does not seem to work at all?
                    It has the field for "Custom URL" and I enter
                    https://domain.com.au/page/view-post?id=414
                    I also tried just :
                    https://domain.com.au/page/view-post
                    I have tried both with "unauthenticated" users and a specific user "free member" both fail?
