The importance of News Letter

By following the activity of my site on Analytics, I realize that I have always progressed, but that for two years, activity on the site is a little down, + - 4% per year.
Of course many factors such as climate, for example, can affect the results, especially in Belgium.
But I still wondered about the causes. It is true that for two years, I no longer send news letter, whereas before I did it once a month.
So, I started again this weekend and see the result on the chart below, it is immediate.
So I make this little ticket to say not to neglect it, it's a job worth it.
Perhaps you have had your experiences with this, so do not hesitate to share your opinion on this.
Hour, ideal day? for my part, the sending was done over 4 hours on Saturday at the end of the day.

    • Thank you for sharing! In our experience newsletters have always been extremely important. Sometimes they are akin to kick-starting a stalled car. You see, the internet is full of distractions now - even the best products and the most awesome websites get forgotten because of hundreds of other things pop-up every moment in front of your site members eyes.
So, over years we've accumulated some interesting data and I plan to post about it in detail sometime soon. One interesting takeaway for now - the greatest open-rate we had is for mailouts titled like "Newsletter March 2017" or something like that. It sounds counterintuitive, but apparently, users appreciate truthful heads up on what is in the mail instead of click-bait titles that are supposed to plan with their brain.
      • "Sometimes they're akin to kick-starting a stalled car," Yes Andrew, the comparison is excellent. And there are plenty of parts that can break down in a car, so many subjects to treat and eyes that have to look everywhere.
You are right, after spending two hours writing a beautiful newsletter, at the time of sending it, we hold on the title to give it, and ultimately the simplest is probably the best.
Also about the title, "♥ Newsletter October 2017" knowing that ♥ is also the favicon of my site, and a good visual cue to attract attention.
All my notifications are signed in the same way, so before you even read, you know who the sender is.
Thank you for your opinion, there is still much to say, know that I read your articles with great interest and that I think they are strong useful.
